Application for Grants 2023

Following a successful first three years trading at Bledington Community Shop and Café, we are looking for local community projects requiring support.
Previously we have donated £2,000 to Bledington School, match funded by the Bledington School Association, to buy new school computers.
We have made further grants, to:
Bledington Primary School: £500, to be matched by Bledington School Association, for additional books, not covered by public funds, that will benefit the entire school
St Leonard’s Church: £1,000, as a special one-off grant towards post-Covid 19 repair and maintenance of the fabric of the building as a historic village asset
Bledington Music Festival: £1,500, to assist this registered charity to promote and market relaunching the Festival in 2022, following the costly cancellations of 2020 and 2021.
Bledington Platinum Jubilee: £1,530 to the appeal
Bledington Playground appeal: £1,500 towards the cost of new play equipment for younger people within the village
We will usually consider grant applications twice annually.
The purpose of the shop charity, BaFCA, is to: “to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Bledington and Foscot and its environs….to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life”
